Version 1.4 · In force and last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Publisher and purpose
Tandem is an iOS application published by Jonathan Darmouni, 49 rue Saint-Louis, 93250 Villemomble, France, hereinafter "the Publisher".
Contact: jonathan.darmouni@gmail.com.
These terms govern access to and use of Tandem, an application for organising a household's tasks. They supplement the Apple Media Services terms and conditions and the App Store usage rules applicable to your download.
By installing or using Tandem, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the application. The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Access and how the shared household works
Tandem runs on an iPhone compatible with the iOS version required by the application. Some functions, including synchronisation between devices and purchases, require an Internet connection; local use of tasks remains possible offline.
There is no account, email address or password. Each household is associated with technical identifiers and an invitation link. You are responsible for keeping this link confidential: anyone who has it can request to join the household. In the absence of an account, the Publisher cannot guarantee the recovery of a household after the loss or replacement of a device.
You undertake to provide accurate information, to respect the rights of the other people in the household, and not to attempt to access a household that does not belong to you.
3. Free offering and premium offerings
Tandem offers a free version and two ways of accessing the premium features: an auto-renewable monthly subscription and a single purchase giving lifetime access. They unlock history and trends beyond the current week, automatic rebalancing, a number of members greater than two, management of several households, and additional themes.
The free version allows two people to use the application, with no time limit, and with no limit on rooms: describing your home is not a premium feature.
The price, currency, any taxes and the conditions displayed in the App Store at the time of the order prevail. Payment is processed by Apple; the Publisher does not process your payment data. The subscription renews automatically each month and is charged to the Apple account, unless cancelled in the account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Monthly access remains active until that date. The lifetime purchase is paid once only and is not renewed.
The premium entitlement is tied to the Apple account used for the transaction and can be restored from the application on a device associated with that account, subject to Apple's rules. The lifetime purchase is definitive; the subscription grants the entitlement during its active periods.
Effect on the other members of the household. As long as a premium buyer is a member of a household and holds at least one active entitlement — monthly or lifetime — that household's premium features are accessible to its members. This access does not constitute an independent purchase for each member, cannot be transferred, and ends if the buyer leaves the household or no longer holds any active entitlement. It does not replace Apple's Family Sharing mechanisms.
Refund requests and applicable statutory rights are handled in accordance with App Store rules and applicable mandatory law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
4. Rules of use
You undertake to:
- use Tandem for personal and lawful purposes;
- not share an invitation link publicly or attempt to circumvent security measures;
- not disrupt the synchronisation service or attempt to access other people's data;
- not enter unlawful, defamatory or abusive content, or content infringing the rights of third parties;
- if you add to the household a person who is not you — in particular a child — have the necessary authority, inform them, and respect their privacy, especially before adding a photograph.
5. Availability and evolution of the service
We seek to keep Tandem available, but synchronisation, purchases and certain functions depend in particular on Apple, Convex and RevenueCat. Interruptions, maintenance or changes may occur.
We may change, suspend or withdraw a function for a legitimate reason, in particular of security, compliance or technical feasibility. Where the change concerns a premium feature already purchased, we will ensure that the guarantees and mandatory rights applicable to you are respected.
6. Intellectual property and your content
Tandem, its code, its interfaces, its design, its texts and its graphic elements are protected by the intellectual property rights of the Publisher or its licensors. Use of the application only gives you the personal right to use it in accordance with these terms and with the end user licence agreement, where it is published in App Store Connect.
You retain your rights over the content you enter in Tandem. You grant the Publisher a limited authorisation to process, store and synchronise this content, exclusively in order to provide the service.
7. Liability
Tandem is a tool for personal and family organisation; its calculations and suggestions are indicative. Within the limits permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect damage related to the use of the application, to the unavailability of a third-party provider, or to the loss of local data following uninstallation or a lack of backup.
This clause neither excludes nor limits the rights, guarantees or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited by law, in particular consumer rights.
8. Duration, termination and data
These terms remain applicable as long as you use Tandem. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling it. The Publisher may suspend access to synchronisation in the event of a serious breach or a security necessity, after informing you where this is reasonably possible.
Deleting the application does not automatically delete the household data already synchronised. The procedures for and limits of deletion are explained in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the terms
We may modify these terms to reflect a change in the service or in regulations. The date and the version number will be updated. In the event of a substantial change, we will inform users by an appropriate means before it takes effect where the law requires it.
10. Governing law and mediation
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers residing in another country of the more protective mandatory provisions of their country of residence.
Purchases. In-app purchases are made from Apple via the App Store, which acts as seller. Requests for refunds, invoices or payment disputes therefore fall to Apple and its terms, accessible from your Apple account or the Support application.
Disputes relating to the application itself. First contact the Publisher at the address given in article 1: the vast majority of difficulties are settled in this way, and an attempt at direct resolution is a mandatory prerequisite to mediation.
If no amicable solution is found within one month, you may, as a consumer, use the consumer mediator competent for the Publisher free of charge:
CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice HELLODOM — 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France www.cm2c.net · secretariat@cm2c.net
A referral is made directly on the mediator's website or by post. Mediation is free of charge for the consumer and does not deprive you of any legal remedy: you remain free to bring the matter before the competent courts at any time.
The former European online dispute resolution platform ceased to exist on 20 July 2025. European information on out-of-court dispute resolution is available at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
